Which is Better: Tea or Coffee?

Which is Better: Tea or Coffee?

"If this is coffee, please bring me some tea; but if this is tea, please bring me some coffee",- Abraham Lincoln

Mostly, people are confused between tea and coffee and wonder which one is better.
Tea and coffee are the two most popular beverages consumed on earth today. They have become an inseparable part of many people in their daily life. But, which one is healthier is it tea or coffee? Should you be drinking them daily? Which is the better choice? Let's find out.

In this blog post, I will put forward what is modern science take about tea and coffee and I will also share with you my perspective on it. If you drink tea, coffee or both then this blog might be just for you!

Hello friends, welcome. According to modern science, both tea and coffee are non-alcoholic flavoured beverages which are safe for drinking. Yes, actually there have been quite a few scientific backing that both tea and coffee have health benefits.
All the varieties of tea packed with antioxidants help in boosting immunity. The latest reports of modern science on coffee suggests that it can help in reducing the risk of various types of cancers.

Coffee is higher in caffeine and tea has more of tannin. While tannin prevents the absorption of iron in the body making it vulnerable to anaemia. It also leads to discolouration of teeth. Caffeine, on the other hand, is a stimulant that robs the calcium of the bones. Basically, caffeine is a mild drug which gives you instant energy and then crashes it. It is addictive too.

So, how much coffee or tea we have to consume? Modern science says that you won't be facing any major side effects until you are not having more than 4 cups of tea or coffee daily.

According to modern science, tea and coffee work best for you if they are consumed 30 minutes after breakfast, meal or lunch. Tea and coffee are to be avoided after 5 PM as they may disturb your sleep cycle. So, it is clear that both tea and coffee are good for you as long as you don't overdo with them.

What's my take on tea versus coffee?

Let's be honest, tea and coffee have become such an integral part of our diet today that omitting them completely is kind of profane. Although if you are at a point where you can't work normally without tea and coffee, isn't it alarming? Isn't it an addiction? Can't we choose health over taste?

Then there are times when we just feel like drinking something hot trust me in these cases even hot water works so well. My stand is clear that if you want to attain the optimum level of physical health and mental well being then stay away from stimulating drinks like tea and coffee altogether.

Which is better for you?

Experts say that it is more difficult to get a 100% answer to talk about which one is better. Because it is difficult to separate ingredients from tea and coffee, the role of each substance in the diet and their effects on your body is different.

Conclusion

No matter either tea or coffee, drinking these beverages in moderation is always important. Both coffee and tea have their own health benefits if they are consumed in a recommended dose. However, overdosing of caffeine can bring our health down. Just the taste or taste with health, the choice is yours.
